The Kenyon Woods Symphony Orchestra is open to any student currently enrolled in band or orchestra at Kenyon Woods Middle School. A Symphony Orchestra is comprised of musicians from the string, woodwind, brass, and percussion families. This ensemble is designed for those students who are looking for a challenge outside of their regular band/orchestra classes. Because of the more challenging repertoire and the small amount of rehearsal time, and to create a balanced ensemble, admission into the KWSO is by audition. The KWSO currently performs at one concert per year.
